There was a moment about halfway through MONO's 100-minute set that shocked the audience into submission. A perfectly abrupt leap in volume from their most dulcet to absolute, an unrelenting distortion which left the audience at the mercy of these consummate Japanese post-rockers.

Sydney’s Tangents are unflinchingly unorthodox and strive to be impossible to pin down. Formed in 2010, the self-described “post-everything” band uses their eclectic combination of keyboards, drums, guitar, cello and computer to explore, bend, stretch, warp and break genres. Their latest release, Timeslips, is sonic experimentation at its finest.

Few bands have been able to completely reinvent themselves as well and as much as Talk Talk. From structured synth-pop and new wave on It’s My Life & The Colour Of Spring to the often improvised art rock of Spirit Of Eden, their transitions were clear, and crucial to their legacy. The London act always pushed the boundaries of their art, and nowhere is this more apparent than on their final studio release, 1991’s Laughing Stock.

Sydney-based band We Lost The Sea are set to embark on a second headline tour across Europe this May in support of their latest album, which peaked at #41 on the ARIA charts. Their success, however, comes after tragedy struck the band in 2013.

Azad “topguN” Orami is a legend in the Australian scene. Part of the Vox Eminor lineup that dominated the region for over two years and a member of the ill-fated Championship Gaming Series’ Sydney Underground franchise, topguN was once one of Oceania’s most internationally-decorated players. However, his decision to step down from CS in mid-2015 and focus on his family saw him miss the further opportunities his former teammates were provided.
